Foundation for the Future

        When Mac McElroy’s eldest son passed away in 2001 a foundation was established in his memory. The Timothy McElroy Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a worthy student, with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, a chance to go to college. All donations to this foundation are fully tax deductible.
     Proto-Vest recognizes that not all promising students with great ambition can afford to go to college or qualify for most scholarships or grants. All of the executive costs for the foundation are paid for by Proto-Vest, therefore 100% of the money contributed to the foundation goes solely to pay for a full time student’s year education. This, however, does not include room, board or books. “We try to find a student who really wants to go to college but doesn’t have the financial resources to do so. We want someone who otherwise would not be able to afford to go to college,” McElroy says.
